Abstract (English): Some families experience chronic, severe and intergenerational problems across multiple domains in their lives. These multi‐problem families do not seem to benefit from standard treatment. For them, Intensive Specialized Multi‐Family Therapy (ISMFT) was developed at the Department of Family Psychiatry (DFP) of a mental health organization in the Netherlands. ISMFT is an integrative treatment based on multiple family therapy with added elements of solution‐focused therapy and a focus on the working alliance between families and therapists. This kind of intensive treatment for multi‐problem families is rare across Europe, and is often seen as a 'last resort' before a decision on out‐of‐home placement of the children is made. This paper describes the theoretical principles used in ISMFT and uses a case study of an anonymized family to describe the course of treatment and illustrate treatment principles. Practitioner pointsOffering multi‐family therapy helps families overcome feelings of isolation, maximises their own resources and provides opportunities for support and constructive criticism.Therapists have an important role in facilitating a safe group atmosphere, as well as challenging parents by voicing different perspectives and reflecting on parental behaviour.By making parents the expert on their own families, good treatment results can be achieved in therapy‐resistant multi‐problem families. Abstract (Spanish): Familias Multiproblemáticas en Terapia Multifamiliar Especializada Intensiva: descripción teórica e informe de estudio de caso Algunas familias experimentan problemas crónicos, graves e intergeneracionales en múltiples dominios de sus vidas. Estas familias con múltiples problemas no parecen beneficiarse del tratamiento estándar. Para ellas, se creó la Terapia Multifamiliar Especializada Intensiva (ISMFT por sus siglas en inglés) en el Departamento de Psiquiatría Familiar de una organización de salud mental en los Países Bajos. ISMFT es un tratamiento integrador basado en la terapia familiar múltiple (Asen, Dawson y McHugh, 2001) con elementos añadidos de terapia centrada en soluciones y un enfoque en la alianza de trabajo entre familias y terapeutas. Este tipo de tratamiento intensivo para familias con múltiples problemas es poco común en Europa y, a menudo, se considera un "último recurso" antes de tomar una decisión sobre la tutela de menores en riesgo y su separación de la familia. Este artículo describe los principios teóricos utilizados en ISMFT y utiliza un estudio de caso de una familia anónima para describir el curso del tratamiento e ilustrar los principios del tratamiento. Puntos de implicación práctica: Ofrecer terapia multifamiliar ayuda a las familias a superar los sentimientos de aislamiento, maximiza sus propios recursos y brinda oportunidades de apoyo y crítica constructiva.Los terapeutas tienen un papel importante en la facilitación de un ambiente de grupo seguro, además de estimular a los padres expresando diferentes perspectivas y reflexionando sobre el comportamiento parental.Al convertir a los padres en expertos en sus propias familias, se pueden conseguir buenos resultados familias con múltiples problemas que son resistentes a la terapia. Abstract (Chinese): 多家庭强化专门治疗中的多问题家庭: 理论描述和案例研究报告 摘要：一些家庭在生活中遇到了涉及多个领域的长期的、严重的和代际的问题。这些多问题家庭似乎没有从标准化的治疗中受益。为此，荷兰一家精神卫生组织的家庭精神病学部（DFP）开发了多家庭强化专门治疗（ISMFT）。ISMFT是一种基于多家庭治疗（Asen, Dawson & McHugh, 2001）的综合治疗，增加了寻解治疗的元素，并注重家庭和治疗师之间的工作结盟。这种针对多问题家庭的强化治疗在整个欧洲都很少见，而且通常被视为在决定孩子的家外安置之前的"最后手段"。本文介绍了ISMFT的理论原理，并以一个匿名家庭为例，描述了治疗过程，阐明了治疗原则。 对从业者的启示: 提供多家庭治疗有助于家庭克服孤立感，最大限度地利用自己的资源，并提供支持和建设性批评的机会治疗师在促进安全的团体氛围方面发挥着重要作用，并通过表达不同的观点和反思父母的行为来挑战父母通过让父母成为自己家庭的专家，可以在对治疗有抵抗的多问题家庭中达到治疗结果 [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
