| Abstract: | Contrast-induced encephalopathy (CIE) is a rare and transient complication that occurs during or after angiographic procedures with intra-arterial administration of a contrast agent, especially iodine-based [[1]]. Characteristic computed tomography (CT) findings of CIE consist of transient cortical or subcortical enhancement, with a specific involvement of the affected lobes. Motor and sensory disturbances, cortical blindness, ophthalmoplegia, global aphasia and seizures are among CIE-described neurological signs and symptoms. In our case, EEG and PET findings were consistent with the neurotoxic hypothesis and no further radiological sings of ischemic lesions were found except the one in the left occipital lobe, so symptoms were related to contrast-induced neurotoxic damage.
