Abstract: INTRODUCTION: The Hubble constant(H0) quantifies the rate at which the Universe is expanding. Measurements of thermonuclear supernovae (SNe) inthenearby Universehave yielded H0 ¼ 73:0 T 1:0 km s1 Mpc1. It has been predicted that observations of a supernova (SN) that is multiply imaged by a foreground gravitational lens could, in principle, be used to measure H0. [Extracted from the article]
