| Abstract: | Personal Relationships is dedicated to publishing international scholarship. Scholars can submit their work to the International Section if their manuscript reports on data that were collected outside of North America or they examine cross‐cultural investigations. For the last 2 years, I have had the privilege of being an International Section Peer Mentor for Personal Relationships. Working with international scholars conducting international research introduced me to the concept of cultural humility. Cultural humility is a perspective for intercultural interactions that embrace lifelong learning, self‐evaluation, and critique to redress power imbalances. In this commentary, I discuss my experiences as a peer mentor, introduce the concept of cultural humility, and explain lessons that I have learned. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
