| Abstract: | This qualitative content analysis provides an overview of neurodiversity constructs published in 21 peer-reviewed counseling journals between 2013 and 2022. A total of 33 articles met inclusion criteria and were analyzed. The publishing journal, year published, article type, article purpose, neurodiversity terminology, populations studied, and counseling application are identified. Findings of this content analysis revealed 14 of 21 counseling journals published articles pertinent to neurodiversity constructs within a 9-year period, with a slight increase in neurodiversity-related articles published during this time span. Implications such as increasing discussions of neurodiversity in counseling, applying a neurodiversity paradigm in clinical practice, and a call for counseling outcome research about neurodiversity are discussed.
