Abstract: As the incoming editor of JCPP's Annual Research Review (ARR), I first would like to extend my appreciation to the outgoing editor, Sara Jaffee, who for 6 years assembled consistently strong, cutting‐edge reviews for the ARR during a time of upheaval in the world in general and child psychology and psychiatry in particular. Personally, I am indebted to Sara for providing invaluable insights into the many facets of editing the ARR as I attempt to maintain the elite bar of quality she established. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
