| Abstract: | The article explores the potential of short-term changes in the choroid in humans to predict long-term eye growth, particularly in relation to myopia. Studies have shown that short-term changes in choroidal thickness (ChT) can predict longer-term myopia progression and the effectiveness of myopia interventions in children. However, there are challenges in using ChT as a reliable biomarker for long-term eye growth due to differences between animal models and humans, technical difficulties in quantifying ChT precisely, and conflicting findings across studies.
