Abstract (English): The article presents a variety of approaches to family therapy and its applications in different cultural and social contexts. Clinical cases are discussed, such as that of a child with Tourette Syndrome, and family dynamics in situations of conflict and trauma are analyzed, including migration and the disappearance of people in Mexico. Additionally, the role of the clinical supervisor is reflected upon, and intervention practices that integrate compassion and social context are proposed. This issue highlights the importance of empathy and collaboration in therapeutic work. [Extracted from the article]
Abstract (Spanish): El artículo presenta una variedad de enfoques sobre la terapia familiar y sus aplicaciones en diferentes contextos culturales y sociales. Se discuten casos clínicos, como el de un niño con el Síndrome de Tourette, y se analizan las dinámicas familiares en situaciones de conflicto y trauma, incluyendo la migración y la desaparición de personas en México. Además, se reflexiona sobre el papel del supervisor clínico y se proponen prácticas de intervención que integran la compasión y el contexto social.
