| Abstract (English): | Disappearance of persons is a serious problem in Mexico. Due to its characteristics and the consequences that follow, disappearance means that families have to face extreme experiences. Psychological research on disappearance has focused on describing the negative and pathological consequences of facing such an extreme event. However, it is essential to have approaches that focus on the study of the factors that allow a family system to cope with the disappearance and to rebuild itself in spite of it. This is what led to the present study, in which 11 people, relatives of victims of disappearance, were interviewed. From the analysis of the results, carried out according to the methods of grounded theory, three categories were obtained: 1) Situating oneself in the emergency: permanent reorganization of family functioning and structure, 2) Disruption and alienation of ties: family life in the face of disappearance, 3) Protective factors: active search for support networks and collectivization of pain. Finally, a series of premises are offered for the accompaniment of families who, faced with the disappearance, find their life in emergency situations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
| Abstract (Spanish): | La desaparición de personas representa un grave problema para México. Por sus características y los impactos que de ella se derivan, la desaparición implica que las familias enfrenten experiencias que resultan extremas. Las investigaciones en psicología sobre desaparición, se han dirigido hacia la descripción de las consecuencias negativas y patológicas que resultan de afrontar un evento límite como este. Sin embargo, es indispensable contar con aproximaciones que se enfoquen en el estudio de los factores que permiten que un sistema familiar sea capaz de afrontar la desaparición y reestablecerse a pesar de esta. A partir de lo anterior, surge el presente estudio, en el que se entrevistaron a 11 personas, familiares de víctimas de desaparición. Del análisis de resultados, realizado bajo los métodos de la teoría fundamentada, se obtuvieron tres categorías: 1) situarse en la emergencia: reorganización permanente del funcionamiento y estructura familiar, 2) rupturas y extrañamiento de los vínculos: la vida familiar frente a la desaparición, 3) factores de protección: búsqueda activa de redes de apoyo y colectivización del dolor. Por último, se brindan una serie de premisas para el acompañamiento a familias que frente la desaparición, encuentran sus vidas, situadas en la emergencia. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
