This article responds to the commentaries of Ceccoli, Csillag, and Saba. Across the articles, language emerges as a sonic bridge between the body and the symbolic. Experiences of separation, loss, and the desire for belonging and recognition are explored through the realm of sound and its connection to class and cultural identity. I argue that accents appear as expressions of lalangue, the jouissance of early care, emerging from the habitus of the body ego and shaped by normative unconscious processes. Finally, I reflect on the ambivalence between hybridity and loss, suggesting that not all divisions can be reconciled. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
