| Abstract: | This paper outlines the development and validation of a survey questionnaire designed to evaluate user experience, with a focus on positive emotion (UEPE) for Augmented Reality (AR) application in historical tourism. Although numerous standardized questions measure user experience, there are limited instruments used to measure user experience, focusing on positive emotions, which is the user experience goal. The study aimed to create a new questionnaire and evaluate its face and content validity. A self-administered questionnaire was developed based on the literature. The face validity index (FVI) and content validity index (CVI) were analyzed using Microsoft Excel. Version 1.0 contained 30 items, divided into six domains. The item-level FVI (I-FVI) achieved a minimum value of 0.83, with the exception of four items. Each domain's scale-level FVI (S-FVI/Ave) was above 0.9 after item revisions. The scale-level CVI (S-CVI/Ave) for all domains exceeded 0.9, indicating good item relevancy. The study finalized the questionnaire, preparing it for the next validation phase through Exploratory and Confirmatory Factor Analysis. The questionnaire is specifically designed for historical tourism, evaluating UX in an AR-based tourism application. The findings contribute to both academic research and industry practice by providing a tool for assessing UX with a focus on positive emotions in immersive technologies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
