| Abstract: | The study of Perfectionistic Automatic Thoughts (PAT) has increased due to its maladaptive character. The objective of this study was to determine if statistically significant differences exist between PAT profiles of different intensities and the Internet interaction skills of Ecuadorian undergraduates (N = 3060; Mage= 22.7). The Perfectionism Cognitions Inventory and the IKANOS scale were used for this purpose. The High Perfectionistic Demands and High PAT profiles received the highest scores on all of the components of Internet interaction skills (Code of Good Conduct, Education and Respect, Spellchecking and Comprehension, Updating of Ethical Practices).
