Abstract: This symposium focuses on the psychological impacts of trauma on children and adolescents, particularly in the context of war and displacement. The first presentation discusses a remotely delivered intervention based on cognitive-behavioral therapy for children affected by conflict, demonstrating its effectiveness in reducing anxiety symptoms. The second presentation highlights dyadic interventions for evacuees exposed to extreme atrocities, emphasizing the importance of parental support in helping children process trauma. The third presentation explores a community-based intervention using transitional objects, such as teddy bears, to promote resilience in young children. Finally, the fourth presentation addresses the establishment of safe environments for children facing war-related emergencies, drawing on case studies from Israel and Eastern Europe. Together, these studies underscore the need for tailored interventions that address the unique challenges faced by war-affected children and their families, promoting healing and resilience in the face of adversity.
