Abstract: The article takes a look on how public health students in the U.S. confront career realities amid shifting federal regulations. It discusses the uncertainty of students' training experiences given the executive orders curbing diversity and equity initiatives and funding cuts to public health research grants and graduate training programs, as well as obstacles facing students in masters'-level. It cautions about the prospect of career transitions that could weaken the public health workforce.
