| Abstract: | There were two purposes for this study. First, we describe the development of the Word Recognition Record (WR2) error analysis framework for examining student oral reading errors as an augmentation to administrations of one-minute fluency probes. Second, we examined how reliably teachers can use the Word Recognition Record (WR2) framework to analyze oral reading errors of students' one-minute fluency probes using two DIBELS 8 ORF benchmarking/progress monitoring passages. The results include the developed Word Recognition Record Administration and Scoring Protocol and the Word Recognition Record Form for analyzing oral reading error patterns from administrations of one-minute fluency probes. The Generalizability (G&D) study showed that primary grade teachers can reliably use the WR2 to analyze oral reading errors from administration of one-minute fluency probes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
