Abstract: This article advances an operational model for cultural complex theory through analysis of a dinner party discussion about men's rights activists and the manosphere. Building on Singer and Kimbles' foundational work and integrating Anzaldúa's insights into cultural division and healing, this paper uses the dinner participants' polarized reactions to demonstrate how cultural complexes constellate within and between groups and individuals. By examining America's version of the masculinity complex as it emerged in Edwards' living room, this model combines established theoretical language with new terminology to create an evolving framework for mapping how cultural complexes manifest, polarize, and transform. This framework maintains depth psychology's reverence for the ineffable while offering clinicians and scholars a more detailed approach for working with and writing about cultural complexes in both therapeutic and social contexts.
