Abstract: The article focuses on recent scientific advances across diverse fields including geoscience, ancient DNA, exoplanet atmospheres, organic chemistry, biogeography, quantum dynamics, immunology, women’s health, sleep, evolution, endocrinology, neuroscience, geomorphology, device technology, feeding behavior, vaccines, magnetism, movement ecology, plant science, innate immunity, climate prediction, and cancer risk modeling. Key highlights include the environmental impact of melting permafrost in the Yukon-Mackenzie watershed causing stream acidification; ancient DNA evidence revealing cultural and biological interactions in European prehistoric groups; and a nasal vaccine that trains macrophages via T cells to provide broad protection against lung infections. Other studies address mechanisms of sexual maturation, the role of large rewards in learning, and improved AI-based breast cancer risk prediction using mammograms.
