Abstract: The article features the Public Health Alliance (PHA) launched by governors of several U.S. states including California, New York, and Colorado, among others. Topics explored include the commitment of PHA to the protection of communities against emerging health threats in addition to the strengthening of public health systems, the involvement of PHA in the Biothreats Emergence, Analysis and Communications Network (BEACON), and its development of the Back-to-School Vaccine Toolkit.
