Abstract: The article focuses on recent scientific advances across diverse fields, including environmental science, cell biology, conservation, medical imaging, developmental genetics, organic chemistry, and electrocatalysis. Key findings include the complex greenhouse gas dynamics of seagrass meadows in China’s Li'an Lagoon, where methane emissions are offset by carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide uptake; the role of caveolae and caveolin-1 scaffolds in modulating cellular signaling under mechanical tension; and the challenge of meeting rising nickel demand while balancing biodiversity conservation in terrestrial and marine ecosystems. Additionally, an AI-assisted mammography trial in Sweden demonstrated improved breast cancer detection, while genetic studies revealed human-specific regulatory elements influencing hand and foot development. Advances in chemistry and catalysis were also reported, including the synthesis of azulene-based macrocycles forming nanotubes and the identification of a dual-peak volcano profile in dual-atom electrocatalysts for oxygen reduction reactions.
