Abstract: Students who have experienced foster care face significant barriers accessing and persisting in higher education. Our Texas team launched a peer coach pilot program to increase waiver utilization, engagement with support programs, and retention rates. This paper provides a summary of the program design, evaluation strategy, and preliminary data on feasibility from the first year of planning and program launch. The team goal is to develop an evidence-based, scalable model for integrating peer coaches into campus support programs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
