Abstract: The article presents an interview with Juha Partanen, a social researcher with interest in the study of the international customs, in Finland. When asked about who has influenced him in mathematics and statistical researches, he answered that Ketiil Bruun has molded him to do the work. Partanen added that the alcohol research in the country is also influenced by the investigation started by Pekka Kuusi.
