| Abstract: |
The article reflects the need for an approval track for generic versions of biotechnology drugs. The author reports that pressure is mounting on the US regulators to give authority to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to approve generic versions of biotechnology drugs, the complex medicines made by the biotechnology industry. He cautions against soaring prices of medicines because of the government's delay in approving generic versions of these drugs. |
