Abstract:	The article discusses the ways in which the advent and rise of the Islamic Arab communities were depicted in the seventh century. The author focuses on Roman and early Islamic and outlines the Roman policy of Roman diplomatic relations with pre- and post-Islamic nomadic, Arab communities by way of bestowing gifts, honors, and titles. The author states that the Roman empire had good relations with the Arab tribes for a period of time. The author also states that many of the Arabs who cooperated with the Romans ended up in arrangements where they were obligated to fight their own Arab brothers.
