| Abstract: |
The article presents the My eSorts technique for helping children to learn how to read and spell in a socially motivated context. The teachers use the technique for almost four decades in teaching beginners in examining the orthographic relationships among words. The eSorting employs digital tools which allow children write their own electronic word sorts and shares it with their classmates at the classroom computer center. ESorting encourages students towards a positive reading attitude and provides them with new context for additional reading and spelling practice. |
