| Abstract: | This article discusses images of Cullen's sign (periumbilical ecchymosis) and Grey-Turner's sign (ecchymosis on the abdominal flank), two forms of discoloration that indicate necrotising pancreatitis. The associated blood test results from the patient showing both of these signs are discussed. The ultimate diagnosis of an intra-abdominal haemorrhage relating to pancreatitis is noted and related causes of such haemorrhages are described. |
