| Abstract: | Presents a study of arkadia, a recessive lethal mutation generated using gene-trap mutagenesis in embryonic stem cells. Analysis with chimaeras, which shows that Arkadia functions within extraembryonic tissues; Results which show that Arkadia interacts genetically with the transforming growth factor beta-like factor Nodal; Implication that Nodal mediates the function of Arkadia in node induction. |
