Abstract: The article discusses a study which considered possible strategies for the agricultural sector to meet the target recommended by the British Committee on Climate Change to reduce British emissions. It was identified by the researchers that a combination of agricultural technological improvements, as well as a 30 percent reduction in livestock production would be needed to meet such a target on climate change. The article also discusses potential policy levers to reduce consumption of foods from animal sources.
