| Abstract: | The article presents a conversation between the author and David Ellis, former Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) advisor on learning disabilities. Ellis worked on the Values Into Action (VIA) initiative, a research project concerning people with learning disabilities using Direct Payments. He also helped develop Valuing People, a program that focuses on rights, independence, choice and inclusion for people with learning disabilities. |
