Abstract: In this article the authors comment on a study related to the estimation of duration of temporal interval by Mehrdad Jazayeri and Michael N. Shadlen, published in the 2010 issue of the journal. As stated, in the study it was found that the durations produced by the participants were biased towards the mean of the temporal context. However, the authors argues that temporal uncertainty was not measured independently so it is not clear whether they had true knowledge of their own uncertainty.
