Authors: Monaghan, Padraic, Keidel, James, Burton, Mike, Westermann, Gert
Source: Psychologist. Aug2010, Vol. 23 Issue 8, p642-645. 4p. 1 Color Photograph, 1 Diagram.
Subjects: Biological neural networks, Artificial intelligence, Cell motility, Brain research
Geographic Terms: United Kingdom
Abstract: The article discusses the artificial neural network approach in Great Britain. It states that it was inspired by the neural architecture of a brain and detects computational principle that rises from cellular structure of a brain. It also notes that artificial neural network reflects the statistical property of a task through the means of employing multiple small interconnected processing units and adapts the strength of connections between the units.
