| Abstract: | This essay focuses upon a perceived lack of scholarship and education in India and urges that it will lead to a loss of citizens who are capable of reading and understanding texts from the classical era. It is attested that India was once home to scholars who possessed the longest continuous multicultural literary tradition in the world, based largely upon the nation’s history and its diversity of languages. |
