| Abstract: | In this article the author offers a commentary on the article "An Unfortunate Divorce," by Scot Danforth, published in the Spring 2011 issue of "Learning Disability Quarterly." He asserts that Danforth's examination of a salient instance in the history of learning disabilities provides a useful case in point for an evaluation of specific constructs and methods. Danforth seems to argue that the historical shift he describes led to a wholesale replacement of one perspective by another. |
