Abstract: In this article the author reflects upon the role of neuroprotective agents in the treatment of ischaemic stroke, by referring to a study conducted by researcher X. Liu and colleagues. In the study, a randomized, placebo-controlled multicenter trial is performed to analyze the outcome of Ginsenoside on acute ischaemic stroke. The author states that Liu and his colleagues show the efficacy of their investigational drug Ginsenoside-Rd, is an antagonist of receptor-operated calcium channel.
