| Abstract: | The author discusses the use of biotechnology by conservationists to help save endangered species and revive those that have disappeared. He argues on the fear by some conservationists that lost species could cause ecological disturbances and compete with other species since extinct species that is brought back could be engineered to be eliminated easily when it pose a problem. He contends that the risk of disturbance of native and revived species is no greater than invasive species. |
