| Abstract: | The authors discuss the importance for international authorities such as the Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services to simulate the physics and chemistry of the ecosystem to better understand the climate system. They discuss the function of the general ecosystem models (GEMs), which could help scientists understand the biosphere and develop decisions on conservation and biodiversity. The authors also note that the approach provides base to conservation policy. |
