Abstract: The article focuses on the molecular behavior of ice and snow. Crystals of made up of water molecules, which are held in a regular tetrahedral arrangement by hydrogen bonding. Amorphous ice might form on comets when water condenses at extremely low temperatures. Water molecules in the surface layers of ice and snow are evaporating and re-freezing continually.
