Abstract: The article discusses the multicentre randomised trial aimed at comparing computed tomographic colonography (CTC) and barium enema (BE) for colorectal cancer or large polyps diagnosis in symptomatic patients. It demonstrates that CTC is more sensitive compared to BE. Results suggests that CTC should be the selected radiological test for patient with symptoms indicative of colorectal cancer.
