| Abstract: | The article discusses a study by Minozzi and colleagues who concluded that addiction rates among people prescribed opioids for pain relief are very low. It mentions that evidence base on which to make such an assertion is very limited about iatrogenic addiction and how to measure it. It states that there are many methodological shortcomings in existing research and therefore addiction scientists must reassess and re-evaluate research in this area. |
