Abstract: The article discusses two studies that discovered different uncertainty signals in forebrain's regions. The study by Y. Komura and colleagues investigated confidence's neural representation in a perceptual choice. In the study by I. E. Monosov and O. Hikosaka, monkeys were trained to watch a video and know how to associate various visual cues with different probabilities of aversive or appetitive outcomes.
