Abstract: The article cites a research study that examines the clinical and cost outcomes of caseload midwifery care for women irrespective of risk factors. It is said that the continuity of midwifery care benefits women at low risk of pregnancy complications. In this study, pregnant women were randomly assigned to either caseload midwifery care or standard maternity care.
