Abstract: The article discusses the Collaborative Agreement on School Discipline, an agreement between the Fort Lauderdale/Broward County, Florida chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and the Broward County, Florida, Public Schools concerning disciplinary policies. According to the author, the agreement replaces a zero tolerance disciplinary policy which disproportionately affected students of color. The new agreement focuses on recidivism prevention.
