| Abstract: |
An essay is presented on the philosophical concept of alienation. The author notes cites the 19th century psychiatry which viewed alienation as with reference to hallucinations and delusions that consensually validated versions of reality and the loss or distortion of personal identity. It notes the use of the term in the 20th century frequently by humanities and social sciences. The author also claims that the concept in modern times, refer to sociological sense of interpersonal relationships. |
