| Abstract: | An interview with Roger D. Launius, author of the Dartmouth Medal-winning "Smithsonian Atlas of Space," and 2025 Dartmouth Medal committee chair Lauren Seegmiller, is presented. Launius discusses how he envisioned the book's organizational scheme, how he mixed narrative with visuals to give the information he wanted to convey, and what it is like to be a space historian. Seegmiller talks about what they most appreciated about the book and the criteria to selection and evaluation for the medal. |
