| Abstract: | The article reports on the move of the Illinois Wesleyan University to revise and strengthen its financial exigency policies, to comply with the recommendations of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP). Hans-Joerg Tiede, an associate professor of computer science who led the process, notes that the policy on the termination for financial exigency was not compliant with AAUP policies. He remarks that Illinois Wesleyan is not facing serious financial problems, despite budget adjustments in 2010. |
