Abstract: The article notes technological trends in library and information science (LIS) outlined in the 2012 Horizon Report and discusses how librarians and LIS instructors can use that information. Mentioned are technologies that foster collaboration such as blogs, wikis, and cloud computing. The author, a professor of LIS at San José State University in California, explains how he uses Internet technology to enhance instruction in his courses.
