Abstract (English): In 1958 an article about María Luisa Caturla was published in Blanco y Negro magazine. According to Mercedes Formica, the author of that text, this art historian deserved a place in the section Gallery of interesting women, because she was a remarkable researcher. Caturla's career began with the intellectual encouragement of Ortega y Gasset and grew thanks to her friends, among others the Countess of Campo Alange and the academic Mercedes Gaibrois, until she managed to stand out in the History of Art during the Francoism, a world taken over by men in that period. Nowadays, however, when we look back to the history of historiography, we often do not find her name. The goal of this paper is to review her career through the correspondence with her "literary godfather", Francisco Javier Sánchez Cantón, and therefore to delve into the system of art during those years. Abstract (Spanish): En 1958 la revista ilustrada Blanco y Negro publicó un reportaje sobre María Luisa Caturla. Según Mercedes Formica, quien lo firmaba, esta historiadora del arte merecía ocupar un lugar destacado en su Galería de mujeres interesantes. Y no le faltaba razón. Investigadora infatigable, su carrera arrancó con el estímulo intelectual de Ortega y Gasset, creció gracias a sus amistades, entre las que se encontraban la condesa de Campo Alange o la académica Mercedes Gaibrois, hasta sobresalir en un mundo, el de la Historia del Arte durante el franquismo, copado por hombres. Sin embargo hoy, cuando reconstruimos el devenir de la disciplina, echamos en falta su nombre. Es por esto que nuestro objetivo es profundizar en su trayectoria a través de la relación epistolar que mantuvo con el que fue su "padrino literario", Francisco Javier Sánchez Cantón, y con ello hacerlo también en la historiografía y el sistema del arte de aquellos años.
