Abstract (English): The essay deals with the life, narrative and ideology of Dolores Medio in order to expose the causes of the silencing of which they have been object until the moment. Among these causes, it is necessary to point out the image that the Spanish press diffused of her in the fifties and sixties, by virtue of which the republican feminist and pioneer of the teaching that the novelist incarnated was soon turned into an apolitical and melodramatic Cinderella. The work also links the neglect in which the author has fallen to her declassification process, but also to the idiosyncrasy of the Asturian creator, who, unlike established models, always knew that freedom had its price. Abstract (Spanish): El ensayo aborda la vida, la narrativa y el ideario de Dolores Medio a fin de exponer las causas del silenciamiento del que éstos han sido objeto hasta el momento. Entre dichas causas, cabe señalar la imagen que la prensa española difundió de ella en los años cincuenta y sesenta, en virtud de la cual la feminista republicana y pionera de la enseñanza que la novelista encarnaba se vio pronto convertida en una apolítica y melodramática cenicienta. Asimismo, el trabajo vincula el olvido en que la autora ha caído a su proceso de desclasamiento, pero también a la idiosincrasia de la creadora asturiana, quien, ajena a los modelos establecidos, supo siempre que la libertad tenía su precio.
