The article talks about the growing need for embarked helicopters in Latin America, especially in the Argentine Navy, which is looking to replace its lower capacity helicopters with higher capacity aircraft. Different helicopter models used by the navies of Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Brazil, and Ecuador are mentioned, as well as the capabilities and recent acquisitions of each country. The importance of helicopters with ASuW (Anti-Surface Warfare) capability equipped with Exocet missiles and tactical radar for maritime surveillance is also highlighted. El artículo habla sobre la creciente necesidad de helicópteros embarcados en América Latina, especialmente en la Armada Argentina que busca reemplazar sus helicópteros de menor capacidad por aeronaves de mayor capacidad. Se mencionan diferentes modelos de helicópteros utilizados por las armadas de México, Chile, Colombia, Brasil y Ecuador, así como las capacidades y adquisiciones recientes de cada país. También se destaca la importancia de los helicópteros con capacidad ASuW equipados con misiles Exocet y radar táctico para vigilancia marítima.
