The Numismatic Museum of Athens is a special place that houses a collection of coins, weights, stamps, medals, and rare gemstones from around the world. The museum was inaugurated in 1834 and is located in the Palace of Ilium, which was owned by the archaeologist Heinrich Schliemann. The collection has around 500,000 acquisitions, including coins from different eras and curiosities such as gold coins dating back to Alexander the Great and the Egyptian pharaoh Ptolemy I. El Museo Numismático de Atenas es un lugar especial que alberga una colección de monedas, pesos, sellos, medallas y piedras preciosas raras de todo el mundo. El museo fue inaugurado en 1834 y se encuentra en el Palacio de Ilión, que fue propiedad del arqueólogo Heinrich Schliemann. La colección cuenta con alrededor de 500 mil adquisiciones, incluyendo monedas de distintas épocas y curiosidades como monedas de oro que datan de Alejandro Magno y el faraón egipcio Ptolomeo I.
