Abstract (English): Maria Guadalupe de Lencastre, VI duchess of Aveiro, was widely known at her time. Specially, her great culture, and her support to the Catholic missions made her famous. This article seeks to link the numerous letters written to her by different missionaries, and the books dedicated to her, with her extraordinary library. This will allow us to better understand her role as mediator in the spread of knowledge regarding the missions and the world outside Europe. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
[ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
